Noni Madueke Transfer News: Aston Villa Eye Arsenal Winger
Emery Keen on Villa Park Move
Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to test Arsenal’s resolve over Noni Madueke, with Unai Emery an admirer of the England winger. Spanish outlet Fichajes claims Villa will explore a deal next year.

The 24-year-old has seen his minutes dip in 2026/27, fuelling talk he may want a bigger role elsewhere. Madueke is contracted at the Emirates until June 2030, so the Gunners face no pressure to sell.
Why Villa Need a Wide Threat
Villa lost Jadon Sancho and Leon Bailey in the summer, leaving Emery short of pace and directness out wide. Madueke’s willingness to take on defenders could provide service for Nicolas Jackson and Johan Manzambi.
Regular football is the major selling point. Mikel Arteta has plenty of attacking options, though he is understood to want to keep the player.
Rivals Circle Madueke
Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also reportedly monitoring the situation. Arsenal are unlikely to accept a fee well below their original outlay, so a loan with an obligation to buy could prove a workable compromise.
Our Take: Can Villa Offer What Arsenal Cannot?
Madueke is at his best receiving the ball in space and running at full-backs, and Villa have lacked that edge at times. Emery can offer a clearly defined role, something Arsenal cannot currently guarantee.
Arsenal face a dilemma, too. At 24, Madueke still has plenty of development left, and selling cheaply could backfire. Yet if Arteta doubts his consistency, a strong bid might be tempting.
Minutes will probably decide this one. If Emery can make Madueke central to his plans, Villa have a genuine chance of beating Atletico and Juventus to his signature.
