Newcastle United are on the verge of finalising a deal for Bayer Leverkusen left-back Mitchel Bakker.
While the Magpies boss Eddie Howe has already brought in Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood, a couple of more players are expected to join the club before the end of the ongoing transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Bakker in the January transfer window.
Although the Dutchman has only made 13 starts and three substitute appearances this season.
The 21-year-old defender has since returned to play 90 minutes in each of Leverkusen’s three fixtures, helping the German outfit to seven points.
The youngster will allegedly cost somewhere in the region of £14.5m.
