Italian side Napoli are lining up a swoop for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay in summer, according to reports from talkSPORT.
Napoli coach Rafael Benitez is desperate to strengthen his defensive back-line in the summer transfer window and the 27-year-old centre-back is seen as the ideal addition to his squad, who has been strongly linked with the Premier League defenders Manchester United.
It is understood that the Red Devils are long-term admirers of Argentine since Sir Alex Ferguson’s tenure and now David Moyes is gearing up to look out for potential replacements this year as captain Nemanja Vidic is set to leave the Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Benfica had refused the interest in Garay signature from Zenit St Petersburg in January as they wanted him to retain for the Portuguese league title, but now if Benfica receive tempted offer they will definitely allow him to move on in this summer.
