Manchester United have been monitoring Real Madrid playmaker Angel Di Maria for quite some time, after identifying him as a potential summer signing.
There has been much speculation over the Argentine international future that the player is considering for options to move away from the Bernabeu this summer.
According to reports from the Guardian, Manchester United are keeping close tabs on the player’s situation, with manager Louis van Gaal is keen to sign the 26-year-old, as he looks to strengthen a United side who finished seventh in the Premier League last season.
Di Maria, who has a contract until 2018 – scored 11 goals and provided 26 assists for Real Madrid last season, and helped Los Blancos in winning the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
Meanwhile, the French campions Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in Maria’s signature.
