Manchester City are lining up a swoop for Amiens midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to French outlet Paris United.
The 21-year-old spent the previous season on loan at Lyon, scoring once and providing seven assists in 50 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit.
The report claims, City’s scouts have been monitoring Ndombele’s progress after his breakthrough campaign last term.
The French Under-21 international is scouted by City’s head coach Pep Guardiola as a potential successor to Fernandinho.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma are also said to be interested in Ndombele’s signature, while Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are believed to have already started talks over a potential move.
