Liverpool are reportedly planning a new long-term deal for the star striker Luis Suarez in his contract, according to Daily Star.
The 26-year-old striker has been in excellent form this season, as one of the leading goal scorer in the Premier League this season so far. He scored 17 goals in just 11 premier league appearances.
The Uruguayan ace has more than two-years left on his current deal, but the Merseyside club is keen to offer a new five-year deal with an improved salary package in order to restrict the striker to join any other club in January.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is quite confident on Suarez stay at Anfield, although he is desperate to retain the services of the versatile striker, who could be proved as one of the top goal scorer of this season once again.
When asked him about the Suarez new deal, Rodgers said, “I’ve got every confidence that will be the case.”
Liverpool thrashed Tottenham 5-0 on Sunday, now they are two points behind the premier league leaders, Arsenal. To achieve the top position, Liverpool will have to beat Cardiff on Saturday at their home ground, Anfield.
