The 29-year-old Barcelona central defender Gerard Pique has set his visions on grabbing a back-to-back trebles with the Catalan giants this season.
Luis Enrique’s side stormed to the La Liga, Copa del Rey as well as Champions League titles last season, and are on the verge to repeat the achievement again this year.
Blaugrana still leading with a six-point mark at the top of Spanish league despite their 2-1 defeat by rivals Real Madrid in Saturday’s El Clasico.
The Spanish champions are already in the Copa del Rey final and ready to host Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on tomorrow evening.
“The game against Atletico is important. We want to play a good game in terms of our play and the result. I am convinced that we will see the Barca that comes to play on big nights and we want to show people why we’ve won everything and that we want to again,” Pique told reporters.
“It will be pretty even, but we’ve won everything and we know we are the favourites. We will go all out from the first minute, controlling the ball, a high rate of possession and try to suffocate them from a footballing standpoint.
“What we really like are the challenges that are ahead of us. We have a great team and I am convinced we’ll win the league. When you take the field and see who is on your team you have no doubt. We have a great challenge to win back-to-back trebles and we’re going to go for it.”
Barcelona are ready to become the first club to successfully defend the Champions League crown.
