Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has shown his desperation for seeking a move to Premier League giants Manchester United in January transfer window, reports The Mirror.
The Red Devils had been chasing a 24-year-old this summer, but due to his continued recovery from a knee injury – Louis van Gaal has dropped his interest in signing the midfielder.
According to reports, Van Gaal could make £25million swoop for the Netherlands international when the transfer window reopens in January, who is manoeuvring himself into a good position in order to make a move to Old Trafford.
Strootman was heavily linked with the top Premier League clubs such as – Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United throughout 2013. Ultimately, he joined Serie A outfit AS Roma from PSV Eindhoven last summer, scoring six goals in 29 appearances for Roma last season.
