Jose Mourinho Eyes Man United’s Fred?

The transfer window is in full swing, and the rumour mill is abuzz with potential player movements. One intriguing story that has caught the attention of football fans is the reported interest of AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho, who is keeping close eye on Manchester United midfielder Fred.

The Brazilian had an up-and-down season at Old Trafford, and it seems he may be heading for a fresh start elsewhere. With his contract set to expire at the end of next season, United has decided against offering him a renewal, opening the door for a potential move.

Fred’s Uncertain Future:

After a season of sporadic starts and limited playing time, Fred finds himself contemplating his next career move. Manchester United have set an asking price of £20 million for the Brazilian’s services, but it appears they may need to lower their demands to attract potential suitors. The price tag has reportedly deterred both Roma and Fulham, who have expressed interest in the former Shakhtar Donetsk player. Nevertheless, with negotiations still ongoing, it remains to be seen whether Fred will find a new home this summer.

Fred’s Ambitions:

Despite expressing his contentment with life at Old Trafford, Fred has hinted at the possibility of seeking regular playing time elsewhere. The midfielder has made 12 Premier League starts last season, but most of them came during Christian Eriksen’s injury absence. The impending arrival of Mason Mount at Manchester United has fuelled speculation that the club may opt to offload Fred to recoup some of their transfer expenditures.

Potential Departures:

Fred is not the only player who could be bidding farewell to the red half of Manchester. Other midfielders such as Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay are also rumoured to be on the departure list. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might be considering restructuring his squad to create space for new signings and provide opportunities for promising young talents to flourish.
