Ivan Toney on Arsenal radar?

Brentford’s Ivan Toney has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.

The 27-year-old striker has impressed since joining Brentford in 2020, contributing significantly to their goals. Despite a ban, he’s returned to form, showcasing his talent with three goals in four Premier League appearances this season.

With his contract expiring in 2025, Brentford might be compelled to sell rather than risk losing him for free.

Mikel Arteta’s keen interest stems from a desire to reinforce Arsenal’s attacking options, given dissatisfaction with current forwards.

Toney’s proven track record in the Premier League and distinct playing style make him an appealing prospect. Arsenal scouts closely monitored his performance against Wolves, underscoring their interest.

However, competition for Toney’s signature is fierce, with Manchester United also in the fray. While the Red Devils secured Rasmus Hojlund last summer, they seek additional striking support.

Toney’s ability to complement younger talents like Hojlund makes him an attractive option for the 20-time English champions. As the summer transfer window approaches, both clubs are expected to intensify their pursuit of the prolific striker.
