The 25-year-old struggled to make an impact at Etihad following his move from Fiorentina in 2013 and now the Montenegrin has been allowed to return to Italy with a view to a permanent transfer.
The move does not come as a surprise, the striker passed a medical with Internazionale earlier this week and posts a message to City’s fans on Instagram which read “thank you and farewell”.
