The 23-year-old midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund for Real Madrid next summer, according to the player’s father, Irfan Gundogan.
The Germany international has made solid impression to a number of top Europeans clubs with great performance for BVB and has won eight caps for Germany.
As per the reports, Spanish giants Real Madrid were linked with a move and planned a bid at the end of the season for the talented midfielder.
“There is no agreement between Gundogan and Real Madrid,” his father said. “We only put contract negotiations with Dortmund on hold because we did not want to put any extra pressure on him during his lay-off.
“Of course there is a chance that he will renew his contract.”
