Everton are preparing a bid to bring Valencia starlet Carles Gil to the Goodison Park in summer transfer window, according to reports in talkSPORT.
The 21-year-old Attacking midfielder is currently serving his second season-long loan spell at Elche CF from Valencia, has scored five goals in 54 appearances and helped their team to promotion to the Primera.
It is understood, following with his impressive form this term in Spanish top-flight, Everton manager Roberto Martinez is considering an end of season move for Gil in order to bolster his midfield department for the coming season.
The report claims, The Toffees have had their scouts for most of Elche’s fixtures in La liga and are reportedly willing to pay €8 million release clause to secure his signing in the summer.
Manchester City and QPR are also the other two clubs, who were interested in the Spaniard last year.
However, Gil’s current target is to return to Valencia and earn a regular place at the Mestalla. Although, Valencia are keen to secure the long-term future of their young talented starlet.
