Everton Eye Marcus Rashford Transfer From Manchester United in January
Everton and Manchester United Hold Rashford Talks

Everton are reportedly exploring a January move for Marcus Rashford, with initial discussions held with Manchester United. According to Football Transfers, the Toffees want a versatile forward to strengthen their attack, and the 28-year-old England international has been identified as a target. United are said to value him at around €30 million.
The same outlet suggests Rashford’s long association with Old Trafford is likely to end in 2027, though a winter exit is possible. It remains unclear whether Everton would pursue a loan or a permanent deal, and talks are understood to be at an early stage.
Rashford’s Situation at Old Trafford
Rashford impressed on loan at Barcelona last season, registering 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances. Even so, the Catalans opted against a permanent deal, signing Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi instead. United’s asking price and his wages also deterred other suitors.
Since returning to Manchester, he has gone eight games without a goal contribution across 502 minutes, which has reignited speculation about his future.
Why Rashford Makes Sense for Everton
David Moyes currently has just one specialist striker following Beto’s deadline-day departure to Fiorentina, while Jack Grealish is yet to rediscover his best form. Rashford can operate on the left flank or through the middle, offering cover in both areas. Nicolo Tresoldi remains on the club’s wishlist as a dedicated number nine.
The obstacle is finance. Everton are believed to be unable to match Rashford’s current salary, and his own stance on the move is unknown.
From our perspective, Rashford’s versatility is appealing, but a loan with wage contributions from United looks the only realistic route. Everton would also be wise to add a natural striker regardless of how this saga unfolds.
