Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has no intentions of leaving the club and is likely to stay at Parc des Princes this summer amid Manchester United move, the striker’s agent confirms.
The Uruguay international is not going to make a move away from French capital this summer, despite the rumours linking him with a potential move to Old Trafford, his agent said in an interview.
The 28-year-old has been touted as a potential target for the Red Devils as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his strike-force for the Premier League glory coming season.
However, it seems that the forward is all set to stay at Paris and fight for his first-team place at Ligue 1 champions.
Walter Guglielmone told Journal du Dimanche as quoted by the Express: “This summer Edi has received interest from top clubs who are chasing a centre-forward.
“He hasn’t listened to them because he was given guarantees about his position at the end of last season.
“We have been led to believe that Ibrahimovic will pay further and further away from the box in order to touch the ball more, leaving the striker position for Edi to fill, which was the case several times at the end of 2014-15.
“In such conditions, Edi will be happy at PSG.”
Cavani has scored 34 times in 65 Premier League appearances since his move to the Parisians from Napoli.
