Chelsea have reportedly interested in signing AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas in a bid to sort out their defensive woes, according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb as quoted by Express.

The Greek international joined the Giallorossi from Olympiacos last summer and has enjoyed an impressive season at the Stadio Olimpico so far.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho attempted a move for the 24-year-old defender on deadline day, but were knocked back by Serie A giants, eventually the west Londoners signed Nantes centre-back Papy Djilobodji.
Now the latest report from the Italian publication has suggested that the current Premier League champions will make a fresh approach for the Serie A star again in January transfer window.
The other two English clubs – Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested in Manolas’s signature.
