Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, according to reports in a German tabloid BILD.
Chelsea were linked with the highly-rated Bundesliga defender last month’s transfer market, but due to busy schedule the Blues couldn’t lure the defender to Stamford Bridge.
It is understood that, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is still keen on the Swiss international – as Ashley Cole is likely to leave the Londoners in the next six months. Therefore, Mourinho is looking for a new talented left-back in order to bolster his defence department.
Rodriguez’s joined Wolfsburg in 2012 from FC Zurich, and it seems to be a tough decision for the 21-year-old defender to make a switch to the blues in such a short period of time since he arrived at Volkswagen Arena.
