Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has denied reports that the Blues have interest in signing AS Roma defender Mehdi Benatia this summer.
The west London club have been linked with the Moroccan international in recent weeks. But, speaking at a Press conference – Mourinho insists that he is happy with his defence at Stamford Bridge.
“We’re not interested,” the Portuguese Coach told reporters. “We have Cahill, Ivanovic and Zouma.”
“I think we are fine as we are, we are well set in defence.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are said to be interested in the 27-year-old defender with Louis van Gaal is keen to bolster his centre-backs at Old Trafford.
Benatia has scored five goals in 33 Serie A appearances since joining the club from Udinese last summer.
