Barcelona eyeing late move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka before the end of the summer transfer window.

Barca have already brought in Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde so far this summer.

However, the Catalan giants have not yet managed to bring in a new right-back, with Sergino Dest likely to depart before the deadline.

Manchester United could offer Diogo Dalot to the Blaugrana as part of a deal for Dest, with the American left out of the squad for Saturday’s La Liga action against Rayo Vallecano.

According to Spanish journalist Gerard Moreno, Dalot is an option for Barcelona, but Wan-Bissaka has also been named on a five-man shortlist.

Moreno adds that Villarreal’s Juan Foyth, Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong are also being shortlisted.

Wan-Bissaka has reportedly been told that he is free to leave the club before the deadline, with a number of clubs believed to have expressed an interest in taking him on loan.

The 24-year-old has made 126 appearances for the Red Devils since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2019.
