Arsenal have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Lyon attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the summer.
The 24-year-old has drawn widespread interest from across Europe this season, with Paris-Saint Germain touted as the most likely destination.
However, according to Calcio Mercato, the Gunners have joined PSG in their pursuit, with the Premier League outfit said to be keen to boost their attacking ranks ahead of the 2022-23 season.
With Mikel Arteta’s side currently holding the fourth spot in the Premier League, the Spanish boss is said to be expecting an improved transfer budget in the upcoming transfer window, should they qualify for next year’s Champions League.
Paqueta has now been identified as a possible summer target, having scored seven goals and registered four assists in 25 appearances in the Ligue 1 so far this season.
The Brazil international has contributed 18 goals and 11 assists for Les Gones following his move from AC Milan in 2020.
