Arsenal might unexpectedly attempt to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz during the upcoming transfer window. The Gunners are seeking to strengthen their team and are interested in acquiring a versatile attacker.
According to Alex Goldberg, Havertz has emerged as an unexpected target, and the Gunners are currently negotiating personal terms with the player. If these negotiations are successful, the North Londoners could proceed to engage in talks with Chelsea to secure the services of Havertz, who was one of their top goal scorers last season.
Havertz has faced challenges since joining Chelsea, struggling to match the level of performance he displayed in the Bundesliga. Nevertheless, he continues to be highly regarded, with Real Madrid also keeping a close eye on him. Arsenal appears to be interested in signing him as well.
At present, Chelsea have not initiated negotiations with any club. However, they are expected to demand approximately £60 million for Havertz. This would be a substantial amount for a player who has not met expectations, and it would be surprising if Arsenal decided to pay such a fee.
