AC Milan are reportedly ready to lock horns with Barcelona over the signature of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
Despite being “very happy” at the club, the speculation surrounding the 30-year-old attacker’s future ‘has gathered pace’, with Barcelona believed to be interested in signing the Italy international.
His current contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of the season.
The midfielder contributed 29 goals and nine assists in his 205 appearances for the Blues.
According to The Daily Mail, Milan are also considering a move for the Italian midfielder, who previously represented Napoli and Hellas Verona.
While the Blaugrana will have to reduce their wage bill to complete the signing, they are hoping to persuade Jorginho to take up a fresh challenge in the Spanish top flight.
