West Ham keen on Arsenal striker Joel Campbell

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is reportedly interested in Arsenal loan star Joel Campbell as a replacement for the injured Andy Carroll, reports from the Daily Mail.

The Hammers are desperately looking for an attacking options ahead of the start of new season, with their current striker Andy Carroll, who has been ruled out for four-months with an ankle injury – as a result the 22-year-old Campbell has emerged as a summer target.

The Costa Rican, whose future at the Emirates is uncertain. He joined Arsenal from home nation side Deportivo Saprissa in 2011 – but hasn’t yet made his debut for the Gunners. Over the past three years, he was on loan at three different clubs – Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos.

West Ham United may face the stiff competition for the striker’s signature as Serie A giants AC Milan are also interested in him.
