The La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Spanish media Marca.
The 10-time European champions currently have number of defenders with the likes of Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos and Pepe, who are competing for the two centre-back positions at the Bernabeu.
However, it is understood that Los Blancos are determined that Pepe, who will be 33 next month, is entering the ending stages of his football career.
Meanwhile, the Premier League giants Manchester United have been heavily linked with Marquinhos – report claiming that the Red Devils were table a bid in the region of £15m before the transfer deadline on Monday.

However, Real Madrid are also said to be interested in bringing the 21-year-old to the Spanish capital.
Marquinhos has struggled in the Ligue 1 for the first XI this season, having made just 13 League appearances for the French Champions this season.
