The recent reports from the Daily Mail suggesting that the Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are poised to make a £15m bid for Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic this summer.

The Persians have already signed David Luiz from the West London club in a move worth £50million and now Ivanovic has appeared on their hit-list, with Laurent Blanc is willing to sanction a £15m offer for the Serbian international to the Parc des Princes.

The 30-year-old defender still has two years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and would like to remain with the Blues for the rest of his career.

But Chelsea have adopted a policy of not to offer players over the age of 30 more than a one-year and this has alerted the French giants.

It is understood that Ivanovic is a favourite of Mourinho, who was a regular last term – made 50 appearances for the Blues in all competitions but the club policy may force his departure as Mourinho continues to reduce the average age of his squad ahead of the next season.
