Manchester United are reportedly planning to launch a €40m summer swoop for Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze, according to Fichajes.
The Germany international joined the Bavarians in 2013 from Borussia Dortmund, since then he has played regularly and made 38 appearances and scored 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old midfielder had been in rumours to be linked with a move to the Red Devils last summer prior to his switch to the Bundesliga champions, and it now appears that the defending Premier League champs are interested on his services this summer.
The priority seems to be with the midfield department and Gotze touted as the top summer target.
However, Bayern are unlikely to sell a youngster in just short span of time at Allianz Arena, whereas fellow midfielder Kroos seems more likely to join United rather than Gotze, but lucrative offer from Old Trafford club could bring some good news for United fans.
